Jeffrey Butta is an award winning composer and producer for commercial, film, and video game based in New York.
His work has been featured for Google, MasterCard, MLB, and London Fashion Week, to animations Two Worlds, Fat Chance, and film and TV collaborations, Discretion, and television pilot, Speakeasy.
Recent work include collaborations with animator, Andy Lefton; which have gone on to win first prize in Reel 13 Film Competition in Boston, and official selections in mspiff, Blue Plum, and The World Animation Celebration International. Additionally, he’s written hundreds of library cues for the AAHSFF, and worked alongside IMAX, Music Choice, and Black Magic. In 2017 he collaborated with Director Christel Chaudet, Storm Models, and fashion alchemist Lauren Bowker to craft the score for ‘Fire’, at the London Fashion Week world premier.
Jeffrey has also had the privilege of assisting Phil Bulla (Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Straight Out Of Brooklyn (HBO)) at Platinum Productions. He’s studied with Mulgrew Miller, Cecil Bridgewater, Rich Perry, Harold Mabern, Pete McGuinness, and Rolling Stones trumpeter, Kent Smith. Jeffrey has logged performances with 14 time grammy award winner Pacuito D’rivera, Benny Golson, Joe Lovano, Steve Wilson, Rhoda Scott, James Weidman, and The New York Voices.
Jeffrey currently resides in New York where he freelances as a commercial composer, working with notable production houses including, Q Department, Man Made Music, Pickle, Antfood, and Gratitude Sound, among others.
